Privacy Policy

Recruit Board (“we,” “us”) helps athletes organize their own college recruiting. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@recruitboard.live.

Information we collect

• Account. You can sign in with Google or with an email magic link. With Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image; with email sign-in we collect your email address.
• Profile you provide. Optional home address (and the latitude/longitude we derive from it to compute drive times), home state, and intended majors.
• Your board. The schools you track and what you add to them — tiers, ratings, stars, tags, and private notes.
• Usage analytics. Privacy-friendly, cookieless product and traffic analytics (pages viewed, features used, errors). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To provide and operate your recruiting board.
• To compute drive times from your home to schools (if you opt in).
• To show in-state vs. out-of-state tuition based on your home state.
• To understand and improve how the product is used.
• To secure the service and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies & storage

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the sign-in process. Our analytics run in a cookieless mode (no analytics cookies or persistent device identifiers), so no cookie-consent banner is required. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Because we do not sell personal information or use targeted advertising, Global Privacy Control and “Do Not Track” signals do not change how we handle your data.

Where your data is processed

Recruit Board is operated in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.

Children & teens

Recruit Board is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact support@recruitboard.live and we will delete it. For teen users, we do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or profile users in furtherance of those activities. A parent or guardian may contact us to review or delete their teen’s information.

Your choices & rights

• Access & delete. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account & data, or by emailing us.
• Edit. You can update or remove your home address and majors in Settings.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to appeal a decision. Email support@recruitboard.live to make a request.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, board, and saved data from our database. Backups and analytics aggregates may persist for a limited period.

Security

We use reputable infrastructure providers and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above.
